Today for writing we looked at metaphors and really showing and not telling our readers.
We went for a walk in the native bush at school and discovered some objects of nature to inspire us. We then set about writing and recrafting as a class.
Here is our work....
Alone.
It sits unaccompanied like a discarded piece of rubbish.
Alone.
Its knobbly, gnarly fingers out stretched.
The seeds have long since dispersed and kissed the wind.
The seed pod is a Pukeko’s foot, elongated to mother earth.
